So I managed to spill water all over my MBP. The screen looks like a mess now. It seems to run fine, though, so I'm thinking about just buying a new LCD screen and doing a replacement myself.
I'm concerned that maybe there might be some internal damage that a simple LCD replacement might not fix, though. Permanent horizontal lines have started showing up on the screen (see below). They don't show up in screenshots, and they don't go away upon restarting. Anyone have ideas?
