A friend gave me a Mac Book Pro 13" that was water damaged. Another friend has a Mac Book Pro 13" where the screen is busted. When a Mac Book has water damage (through the keyboard) is the screen usually damaged? Thanks.

McBook! OMG I died.

Lots of problems can arise as a result of water damage, so that's pretty wide-open. An Apple Authorized Service Provider might be able to run some diagnostics for you and tell you what would need to be replaced.

The screen itself is unlikely to be damaged from water spilled on the top cover. The screen connectors on the motherboard could be a different story. I'd check for corrosion before attempting that kind of repair.
