I spilled some water via my hands splashing all over on the countertop while under the faucet, on the key board.

I immediately wiped it off and as of the afternoon it was working.

Now, tonight I sit down to use it and the keyboard doesn't work. Thankfully I had a random wireless keyboard that I have been able to work with the lap top!

Any insight or advice?

I am going to make an appointment to bring it in to the apple store just incase- so that I have the appointment and I'll cancel if need be. Many thanks

magically, its working now !!!!! Wow! Thank goodness!

Mod's please feel free to delete this thread if need be!

You might want to backup that computer, there is a good chance for damage even if it isn't present currently.

thanks you're right!

I don't think I can drop it on time machine......

if I do it via my external hard rive, can I just drag and drop the HD on my desktop to the hard drive- to suffice as a backup to have stored?

You can do a time machine backup. or drag the individual files you want. Not sure what dropping the HD will do. I used to do time machine backups and just drag/drop important stuff onto my icloud drive.

time machine is asking to select a backup disc and then asks for a other airport time capsule. None of which I can wrap my head around! There has to be an easier way
