Got tea on my wife's USB C charger, neither of us noticed, she plugged it into her laptop and didn't charge. When she took out the charger, saw it was wet (tea also in the port). Dried it off, plugged it into the other port and it's charging, the original port still nothing though. Is the first port fried? Is it (easily) repairable?

Chances are yeah it's dead, and no it can't be easily replaced. Half of the entire computer will need to be replaced.

Hope you have AppleCare.

i seen many liquid spills and those MacBooks survived worse.
just let everything dry out before plugging anything into the MBAir
im confused by " Dried it off, plugged it into the other port and it's charging"
what is "it"?
does the MacBook air work?
are we worried about the actual charger?
these are replaceable and not that pricy
if you could reset your PRAM that might work

Thanks for the reply but looks like everything is working at the moment. Let the port dry out and seems to be working again.

No Applecare, have home insurance so hoping that would have covered it if necessary

Should have been more clear, we dried off the male end of the charger and the port. Everything seems to be working now but thanks for the reply anyway
