what would you pay for a water spilled macbook? I need the LCD anyways, do you think there's any money in the top case, combo drive, ram, logic board...etc?

Does it work at all? I've had good luck with things onto which I have spilled just plain water. If the person was smart enough to not try and turn it on for a few days after the accident, almost anything in there is potentially salvageable.

In terms of money, there's no way to say until you know what works and what doesn't. Could be worth a lot, or could be just a replacement case...although it seems like you know at least that the LCD is in good shape, which isn't too hard to price.

At least there was no vomit involved, unlike the poor guy in this, one of my favorite threads ever:

I bought a macbook that had some juice spilled onto it. I cleaned the board as best I could, but it was a no-go. However, the HDD, LCD, kb and combo drive worked great.
