Many Bluetooth waterproof speakers on the market. Dozens. Maybe hundreds.

Plenty of AirPlay 2 portable speakers on the market too.

But are there any in the Venn diagram overlap in both categories?

I think so. We got ours because we were tired of moving our HomePod around. It sold us on the brand and four months later I've got seven total Sonos speakers and the HomePod is gone. So yeah - sounds good, amazing wifi range, and super easy to just grab and take wherever. But I do think that all their products, with the exception of the One, are at least $100 overpriced, some much more so. It pays to wait for one of their rare sales. They've got 30% off for healthcare workers right now, which is a good deal if you qualify. They sent me a 20% off coupon after I bought my last 4 Ones - I'd like to get a Sub, but even with the discount I can't bring myself to click buy.

Are you still required to setup a Sonos account to use the Move and their other products first? That has always been a frustration in setting up those devices for friends and family, and what has kept me from buying one.

With so many Apple devices working really well with BT speakers, I have been happy with some of the Sony options that can link up multiple speakers (if needed), and actually have decent range overall too.

I don't think that I tried just plugging them in and seeing if they came available on airplay. And while I used the Sonos app to set them up, I don't recall if they forced me to create an account. You use the app though to tune them for the room, pairing, tone control, balance, etc., so to get the most out of them I think you'd want to use the app. FWIW, the app seems solid and easy to use.
