How do I do this?

All my Google searches give results on how to convert a WAV file to MP3 in iTunes...but iTunes 9 is different and the steps are not applicable. Anyone know how to do this?

Thanks

I just have installed iTunes 9 to see what might have changed, but it is still the same.

1. go to iTunes Preferences > General > Import Settings (down by the When you insert a CD action selection field) > WAV.

2. Select the .mp3/.aac/audio file(s) you want to convert, go to Advanced (Menu Bar) > Create WAV version.

Is that not available for you?
Maybe the songs you want to convert are copyright protected.

Thanks. For some reason when I Googled for answers the iTunes interface was different and I couldn't figure it out. I did what you said and now I have the mix I made in 320 kpbs/second and taking significantly less space. Thank you!
