My friend accidently tipped over a lit candle and spilled a bit of wax on the top of my macbook. Any suggestions on how to get it off? I'm clueless on this one.

Lit candle? How romantic...

Introduce some heat to soften the wax up. You don't want it to take some of the black of your Macbook when you scratch it off. Consider hairdryers or rags moistened with hot water. Another method once you get down to just the little bits is using masking tape like a lint roller, stick-and-lift until it picks up as much of the residue as possible.
