Yeah, it's not a Mac, but my wee, pea-brain is out of ideas and I'd thought I'd see what everyone here could come up with.

Here's the story - a friend has had one of these for forever and day. His buddies got drunk one night last week and tossed it on a fire (nice buddies). I though I'd see if I could find a replacement for him but this is turning into a needle in a haystack. I've gone many pages deep on google and live.com. I've checked fleabay and amazon. I placed a WantItNow on fleabay. I feel like I'm forgetting something really obvious.

Ta for that, but I really want a working one. $150's a bit much for a unique fixer-upper-opportunity.

Then your best bet might be to start contacting specialised antique toy dealers in the US by email as a starting point. Whip up a form email saying what you're interested in acquiring, send it out as a blind carbon copy to a bunch of dealers... look at their sites, get all their contact details, see who has got brick and mortar stores.

Be as detailed as you can, sound as serious a buyer as possible.

State preferences including whether you want it mint or including the packaging, include a picture, don't specify what you're willing to spend or what you want it for, as you may be able to do a bit of bargaining. See if there are any specialists in mid to late 20th cent. toys.
