Hello! I am brand new to the forums and am getting a MacBook Pro next week I decided I would get it from Apple and wait 6-12 months to buy Applecare. Now suppose I were to break the screen is their a way not to pay 600-1000 dollars for a new one I found that outrageous and a inflated price.

Also here is what I'm going to be buying for my MBP over time.

Booq Vyper going to buy next week

A keyboard protector next week ( which one should I get? )

Maybe a speck seethru are they worth it I heard they are IMPOSSIBLE to get off? Is their an alternative?

Any other good things to buy?

I really appreciate you guys:apple::D

You're covered under apple care during that 6-12 month period. Apple care is 1 year. And you're able to purchase an extension adding 2 years, for a total of 3 years.

You'll need some kind of alternative insurance plan. Renter's/homeowners insurance or a third party electronics insurer like squaretrade.

The only way to avoid paying for a new screen is by not breaking your screen.
