Let's see.... So far:

Cut, Copy & Paste
Landscape Email, Notes, and SMS
Delete and forward individual texts
MMS

And we're not done yet. Seems like we'll be getting most of what's been asked for over the past year. I'm definitely impressed.

Edit: Going to keep a running tab of new features here in this first post.

I'd wait for the official keynote to be released on Apple.com Gizmodo, Cnet, and Engadget are known for playing April Fools Jokes.

YAAAY! -- Let's all be impressed by stuff that should've been in 1.0. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy, but frig -- 2 1/2 years to get copy and paste?

My SOCKS have been KNOCKED OFF!

Holy crap. What an update! I can't wait!

I had low expectations.

Good stuff that should have been here 2yrs ago, but still good stuff. To those that were against copy and paste, MMS----go and throw away your iphones now.

I'm right there with you. I thought we'd never see ANY of these features...

I'm not complaining in the least but why oh why, Apple, did you wait this long to give us what we've been begging for?

Haha.... no kidding.

"MMS is a dead technology!!!!".

Way to go Apple!!

Still no voice dialing, but at least I can check my glucose level!

Can't get MMS working on a 2G iphone even though it's leagues more powerful than my old LG Chocolate which supported it just fine!

Apple says that original iPhones running 3.0 won't get MMS. Does this mean it relies on the 3G network, and not the regular cell network like SMS? I wonder if people who have data blocked will be able to MMS... or if it will work if you flip 3G off on your phone.

They dont want to give it to you but had to due to competition. Why do you think they announced this now, and it wont be here till june/july. 2.0 was announced a month before release, 3.0 several months before release. Now, you wont get that other, but you would wait for the next iphone.

i'm quite pleased with all this. sure, i think they have possibly overdone it... (do you really need ALL of those? its a damn computer now!)

a quick question though... why does MMS not work on the original iPhones if it was originally a GPRS technology/protocol?

This is a good update but things that have been included in this one should of been in the previous updates as they are pretty old.

Only really big thing missing for me is Flash - would have had me very excited.

Let's hope there's some new iPhone hardware on the way - but what would you call the new iPhone?!
