Way to make VLC autoplay radio stream?

I have audio hijack and I set up a recording to open VLC at a time in the day to play my favorite radio stream, but when it opens the stream it does not play automatically so there's no audio to record. I need to actually press play.

but this ruins the whole point of the audio recording i wanted while im not at home!

any ideas?

nevermind, quicktime does it. d'oh
