Hi, this may seem like an odd request, but here goes.

If you go to an Apple retail store, each night, after the store closes, all the computers are purged and reset (getting rid of all the random stuff, pics, etc. from customers during the day).

I'm looking for a way to have my computer purge itself each night, and wake up the next morning with the same set of files I want to have. Basically, I want the same thing Apple has -- a demo computer filled with fake files, that purges itself at night, and reloads those fake files each morning.

Ideas? Suggestions? Really, I'm going for anything here. Thanks.

Just an idea - is it a particular login? Can you create a guest login that is only valid for 24hrs?

It's not a particular login. In fact, a guest login would work perfect because it can purge as soon as I log out.

However....

Is it possible to customize the guest login to have the same files, preferences, etc. each time it logs in?

Okay, update...

I did a little more researching off your Guest account idea, and I'm thinking this might work.

Basically customizing the user template, which is what the guest account uses.

Thanks for the idea!

works well except that you cannot share an iTunes or iPhoto library while theyre open in your main account.
