Way to view text logs?

I have a couple of years worth of texts I would like to glance through. "Load earlier messages" doesnt work because as soon as I get 10 pages back, it takes ages to load a new page.

Is there any way of doing this?

I archive copies of mine to the Mac via a purchased program, Phone View, and have no problem looking back at them that way, back to the first text sent from my first iPhone in 2007. Plus, I don't have to worry about iTunes eating my backups. (Also works with voicemail messages and quite a bit more besides.)

I think the Windows program TouchCopy does something similar.

I'd prefer not to pay but if I cant get around it, any recommendations?

Even just not having to pay 20$ would be more reasonable. Any recommendations?

Or perhaps iOS 5 allows for a way to do this?
