Way to watch TV?

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but is there any way to watch live TV on the iphone 3G? There are ways on many phones less awesome than the iphone and I was wondering if there was some hidden thing, app, or website?

I have been looking into this for a little bit now. You can set up Mythtv to do this. From what I can tell, there is no way to watch live TV.

You have set up a transcode job after a show is recorded to convert to a format the phone recognizes.

Put a webcam to face tv.
Use VNC.

more seriously, till a slingbox style option comes, streaming tv over the internet seems a potential option.

I heard a rumor a while back that slingbox was developing an app, but until that happens you are out of luck.
