Clearly people aren't paying attention to the dates of the "similar threads" section at the bottom of pages before replying in them. Threads from ages ago are being regularly revived on a daily basis, which leads to a barrage of snarky comments and general confusion. Sifting through these undead threads is a waste of time and page real estate. The first couple of times it happened, it was funny. Now it's getting old.

Can there be color codes for ancient threads? Or could there be a statute of limitations on even replying to threads that haven't seen new posts in years? Other forums close comments after a period of inactivity for good reason.
