I don't know what you would call this (hence am struggling with googling it), but I've created a (rather silly) typeface, and would like to be able to have a part on my website that would let people type in a message and see it in the font, much like this:

http://www.vialetter.com/spellitout.htm

or more simply, this:

http://www.linotype.com/catalog/fontsampler/?id=13867

I wouldn't need any colour, size or font options, it would just be one font, one colour, one size.

Is there something online (much like those automatic image galleries) that I could use to do this? I don't think my coding/Flash skills are up to building my own one, as it all looks very complicated.

I could just make it into a font and let people download it, but this seems a more fun way of doing it. Any help or links would be very much appreciated. :)

Is your site PHP-based? If so, there are some scripts you can use that they would type in whatever text they wanted in a text box and hit submit. THe script will then go and create an image of that text in your font and return it to the browser.

You can find some good starter info here.

Ooh, thank you, that looks very helpful. My site's in basic HTML/CSS at the moment (link here), but I could certainly look into working that into it. Thanks. :)
