I need to send money to a family member who is incurring charges while taking care of another family member. We are many states away. What are the easiest/most reasonably priced ways to send cash? The recipients pay pal account is messed up for some unknown reason. The recipient banks at a small town bank. We tried setting up a wire with our own bank via our online banking and it didn't work. I need another brilliant idea and see there are options out there but I am not familiar with this area. Thank you!

Most personal bank accounts do not allow wire initiation through online banking. Just go to your bank and have them process a wire for you. There will most likely be wire fees. You could also have your bank ACH the money as well which should not incur a fee.
Well, there's Moneygram or Western Union. I think Walmart also has something similar.
