Waze Contact Access

Folks,

Just got a new iPhone XS. All is good, except for this one hitch.

I can’t get Waze to see my contacts so that they show up when I search.

I’ve connected my phone number, I’ve deleted the app and reinstalled, I’ve restarted the phone, but no matter what I do, Waze never shows up in the Privacy settings as an app that has requested access to my contacts.

Ideas? Thanks in advance!
