I just upgraded the hard drive to 1TB from 160GB(stock) and 2G memory to 4G.

My question is, since this is my first hard drive swap, is it normal for it have random clicking noise? It isn't constantly making the noise, almost like clicking after the full revolution of the disc or something.

Is my drive faulty?

Any feed backs would be much appreciated. I have googled and found a similar problem here The OP posted the sound which it's the same sound I am hearing. You can hear it here.

Agg... I really hoped I wouldn't have to go through returning it and stuff...

Is it normal?

Thanks

-Chris-

Edit: I did some more research and I found an old thread about the hard drive noise. I can concur that the clicking noise is more frequent or noticeable when the hard drive is in idle. Meaning, I found out from the other users commenting that it could be the power management for the hard drive which OS X has. I guess I never noticed the sound before...
