WD disk did not appear during instalation in Disk utility

Hi I just bought the new Western Digital Scorpio Black 750gb 2.5¨. And Im not able to see it anymore in a disk utilities. I was it there for the first time. But now after the unsuccesful process of formating Im not able to see it anymore. The old drive works fine. I dont have the ability to try it on other machine so what can I do please?

i am assuming that since the computer isnt recognizing your HDD that you are booting from the CD. That being the case one of two things might have happened, a) you installed it wrong, so try again or b) the Scorpio was DOA.
