So I have two WD External Hard Drives... One is a passport and one is a My Book. But for some reason, when I reboot my laptop, they never come up. I have to unplug them both from the USB and plug them back in to get them to be noticed.

I just updated the bios on each of them as well and that did not fix it.

Anything else I can do with this issue?

How often do you reboot your computer? I just shut the lid on mine, and my external is always there.

I'd have to try with my external drive but I'm pretty certain this is normal behaviour.

My Western Digital My Passport Essential SE mounts on bootup with my MacBook Pro. You could try mounting them with either the Western Digital SmartWare or Disk Utility.
