WD My Book 200G. Less available space.

External USB drive about 3 years old used for itunes, backups, etc. Capacity is 232G, current contents about 52G, but it says only 46G available. Where are my remaining 180G? No partitions. I was thinking I'd have to transfer the music then reformat. Any suggestions?
