WD My Book external HD pre-installed files question

I was wondering if anyone knows if I can delete the files that come pre-installed on the External HD. I dont seem to be using any of them, so I dont see the problem w/ removing them.

I always delete that stuff, and have never missed it; but, then again, I don't need my drives to work with windows.

This HD is staying on my mac..so I guess theres no real need for them.
