WD My Book Live Crashes My iMac

Hi, Just bought a WD My Book Live 2TB and everytime I got to copy my iTunes library across my iMac crashes (with the opaque black going down the screen)

Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this and/or resolved it?

Also should the drive appear in the "Shared" Section in the Finder Folder? Cant seem to add an addition Hard Drive Icon on the desktop?

My WD My Book (1 TB) doesn't show up in the 'Shared' section. Have you tried going to WD's site and getting all of the firmware updates? That's the first thing I would do. Also try searching their forums. You may be able to find your answer there.

Yea iv updated the firmware on the hard drive and made sure my iMac was upto date but it seem to have installed itself as a shared folder. Posted a topic on the WD forum so see what they come back with. If all else fails i will have to format it and re-install it.
