WD my Passport Wireless Pro 2Tb external hard drive doesn't mount

Hello from Germany :),

I have an issue with my MacBook Air m1 (Big Sur 11.1) in combination with my WD my passport wireless pro 2tb (hard drive not ssd). It simply won't mount. Usually you can here the drive spinning, but it doesn't vibrate at all. It just charges the internal harddrive batterie. It doesn't show up in terminal "diskutil list" either.
I tried a simple usb-a to usb-c adapter and my 2 dongles. However it does work fine when I connect it to my Elgato thunderbolt 3 dock.

The same drive works fine on my MacBook Pro 16 and all other windows machines.

Does somebody else here maybe has the drive and could also check?

Thanks in advance,

Kai

I have got the same problem with WD Discovery for Mycloud Home on the MacBook Air M1. I sent a service request to Western Digital. Their answer is astonishing disappointing and does not reflect that they are on top of developments. Literally they say "they are collecting M1 cases to evaluate the whole situation". As if they missed the announcement of the M1 in June 2020. Moreover why does WD Discovery not run thru Rosetta 2? I really don't understand, but fear it will take months before Western Digital will solve this.
