Hey, does the WD My Book 250GB HDD require to be plugged into a wall to use it? Or can it just be plugged in with USB?

Know of any good Ext. HDD w/ at least 200GB that will not require a power plugin? Just USB or preferably FW800.

The WD Passport is an attractive bus powered drive, but it only goes up to 160GB at the moment. Other than that I would check out the different product lines by Lacie.

the usb powered ones are usually 2.5" laptop drives, so never that big and cost a lot more!

The Lacie Little Big Disk at 320GB is the largest I've seen. It is expesive though. For that price you could almost buy a 1TB drive.
