Hi everyone

I have a super annoying problem - On my WD MyBook 1TB (Model WD 10000 H1U) I have a 150GB Aperture Library.

When I try to transfer it to my MBP or another drive, it starts at normal speeds up to 600mb, then it slows down to a crawl from 600mb onwards (continues at something like 0.1mb/s).

I have already put the drive in another enclosure, same problem. So I believe it must be the drive, however there seems to be no physical damage, as Aperture can read and access the library just fine. Only when I want to export the projects from the drive elsewhere it's again getting really slow after some time.

I was trying to use the Firmware Update from WD but that doesn't even find the drive...

Any ideas?

I need to save that library somehow... That was my backup already :(

-----------

Update 1:

Speed wise - it does look like the drive sort of switches from USB 2.0 to USB 1.1 midway - can that happen?
