So I decided to buy this MyBook Studio:

Great I thought, until I installed the software to make the display work. It said it needed to reboot the computer in order to work, OK I said.

Now it won't boot. I've tried removing the battery and holding down the power button for 5 seconds, and then turn on, but it still doesn't turn on.

Any ideas what might have happened?

Thanks for the quick response. I tried everything and it still doesn't turn on.

So I went into an Apple store and the gentleman said this was the first time he saw something like this. Didn't know what was wrong with it but it would be $310 to fix.

What do you guys think?

I don't think you should spend $310 just yet. Or, at all.

Do you have your original System Software DVD's that came with the MBP?

Get them out and try to boot from the DVD.

Do this:
1. Have DVD in hand
2. Open MBP but don't turn on yet.
3. Push DVD partway into slot
4. Press power on key
5. RIGHT AWAY, push DVD all the way in and hold down the "c" key and KEEP HOLDING IT DOWN.

What happens?

How long do you want me to keep holding it? I did it but nothing is happening.

So I went into the apple store again and they fixed it for free. Amazing!!!
