wd passport button

i just bought a Western Digital passport drive and it has a button on it. The drive wrks great but nothing happens when i press the button

What's the button supposed to do?

It's more then likely designed to operate with a one touch (one button) instant/easy backup software in Windows.

If it has these symbols it's more then likely a power button.
