looking at swapping a 1TB drive in my MP3,1 that is a media server, Emby & Jellyfin.
I have usually bought new WD 2TB 5400 HDD and have been very happy.
I see that WD has recertified on their site (not refurbed).
Much less $. Thinking a 4TB 5400 for $60. As compared to new 2TB 5400 ~$70.
Anyone ever bought these for this kind of work, which I'd call mostly archive, not daily driver.
This would be in tray 4, not the "hidden" SATA connectors on the MB.
Currently 3 spinners and an SSD boot in the trays.
