I just toasted my newly replaced WD WD7500BPKT. I have a mid 09 MBP, and decided to up the hardrive. I spent all day installing software. I had just finished installing an application on the bootcamp partition, when I decided to change rooms. I got up from the table, and when I lifted my MBP pro, I heard a scratching sound coming from the area of the hardrive. I sat the notebook down. It responded for a second, and it then locked up. I leaned down to hear the dreaded clicking.

Good news is I can just throw my OEM drive back in and be back up. Bad news is I wasted my whole day installing software on the new drive- wanted a fresh install...

So my question is whether there are any issues with using this drive in a MBP?

I did some searching on the forum, and it appears the drive is compatible with the sudden motion sensor? Is this automatically enabled on the bootcamp side? All software was updated prior to the event.

Thanks!
