WD TV ... media player

I was in my local costco today and found this little gem

So far it has been a pretty nice little unit! I will play divx right out of the box. Supports most common formats! And claims to play 1080p (haven't tried this yet)

Just thought I would post this for all those who had no idea it existed like me!

I always see these on dealnews or dealmac, but never really looked into it.

Does it allow for the ability to stream media? Also, can you play movies that are in video_ts format?

No streaming ... no wireless, basically you load your media onto a usb drive ie flash drive or external drive and it will play your files.

as for the other one ... not sure ... I have very few movies in original format ... I will see if i can find one.

So it doesn't seem to want to play ripped dvd folders :-( but thats minor it works pretty nice otherwise !
