WD Vs Transcend External Hard Drive?

Title says it all, I'm trying to decide between,

1. Transcend StoreJet 25M3
2. WD My Passport Ultra

Which would be better and why?

Check out their specs and see if they're fully functional without using drivers. I know some of the WD's don't enable everything unless you install their drivers. For example, the MyBook series power switch won't work unless the drivers are installed. I don't know if the same is true for that particular WD and I'm not familiar with the other at all but it's something to check out.

IMHO, there's very little difference, they're both consumer grade hard drives... I dunno what brand the Transcend would be using, but it's likely to be WD or Seagate.
