I just finished ripping my entire blu-ray collection and I thought I would give you some of my thoughts.

The WDTV plays just about any video format I threw it at 1080p.

I ripped all the videos to M2TS files with AnyDVD and ClownBD.

If I had to do it over again I would use the makemv program.

The WDTV box does not have an ethernet port, but there are hacked firmwares that enable USB ethernet adapters, etc.

So for the price 89-129 depending on where you get it from, its not a bad little device.

It is a little slow menu browsing and chapter skipping seems broken on the files I ripped (I probably did not check the option to do this). FF works up to 16x.

Video quality seems to be on par with blu-ray. I am not an audiophile so I only tested 2.1 but it sounds good.

have you had any luck getting the WDTV to display cover art for movies? I have all of my movies in m4v format with the appropriate meta data for Itunes but when I put them on the WDTV only 20-30 percent of the art shows up.
