Does this mean they are on the way to Alaska, in alaska, or leaving alaska? btw mine says the same exact thing.

The tracking page says "Int'l shipment release ANCHORAGE, AK" so I take that to mean it's been approved to leave for Anchorage. Not sure if the plane has taken off. There was someone yesterday who had flight info on (maybe) the first flight of phones. We need an update for this plane!!

Usually, the customs/etc happens in the receiving country. So the plane will leave for Anchorage, land, then the contents cleared for the next leg into the midwest shipping centers.

Mine has also been released. HURRAY! I'm stupidly excited. And I don't care how pathetic that makes me. New. iPhone. 4. On. Thursday.

Why would you assume that? We are seeing tracking info, not customs approvals, or other such stuff. I've gotten packages from CN and HK before, and never encountered that.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 3_1_3 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/528.18 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile/7E18 Safari/528.16)

Mine is still on the island in HK. :(

I believe if it says international shipment release and the location as in AK then it is in AK not China.. a thought..

It only gets scanned when it arrives at a new location so it means it has arrived in Anchorage Alaska. I take the "Int'l shipment realease" to mean the shipment has been released from customs but that part is just my guess.

Hmmm.... I'm getting bit worried here about a 6/24 before arrival 10:30 a.m.
