The iProxy thread got me thinking. We ought to create a repository where developers can post the source code of interesting and useful apps that Apple obviously wouldn't approve of. The initial developer could offer the code for free as open source, or could charge for the code. Other developers who get the code could, in turn, distribute the apps to users that they authorize under their account, and they could also charge a nominal fee, or just distribute apps out of the kindness of their heart. Basically, something like this would facilitate the distribution of apps that would either never see the light of day, or would only be available to those willing to jailbreak. This would require no jailbreaking at all which would be beneficial for several reasons. For one thing, updating to new firmwares would be a lot easier. And, obviously, you wouldn't need to wait for a new jailbreak to use your useful unauthorized apps. Thoughts?
