Carrier Weaker Signal from a 5s ATT to a 7 Verizon

Got a unlock iPhone 7 from Versizon to get the CDMA capability. Using it with a ATT sim.
Noticed that the reception level is weaker then my old ATT 5S...

Weird?

i don't have a 7, but i have noticed that my 6 has weaker reception than both my older 5 and my wife's SE. i think the antenna design is likely the reason for the difference.

My 5S has been good to me over the last few years...
