I am trying to get a weather app complication for Apple Watch 5 that gives good info and updates regularly. I am a Canadian and therefore cannot get Dark Sky. I do not like Carrot as I refuse to pay for different levels. I like Accuweather but the complication is very basic. I purchased Weather Mate Pro but the complication does not update regularly and it is frustrating. The Apple weather app is ok but also the complication is basic.

I've used and loved Forecast Bar for a long time now on my Watch 4. I live in France and so, like you, Dark Sky and Carrot are out of the equation.

Are the updates consistent, the complication informative and is the app relatively accurate?

Strange you have issues with Weather Mate Pro. I too have it installed and it works perfectly on all devices.

Interesting. I find that on my Apple Watch 5 at times it will not update. Maybe I have the update time set too long? Will check it out. What is yours set at? Also, I do notice that when I put the watch on on the morning the weather is still set to the evening before, I have to reboot watch for it to set for the day. Am I doing something wrong?

Thanks

I know it is updated regularly. I may have explained my situation wrong. What I meant by updating was the weather complication itself on the AW, for example, travelling from 1 town to another during the day. When I put the watch on in the morning, it still shows the weather from the night before. That is what I meant.

Well that’s now weird.... I’ve just updated my watch to the latest version 7.0.2 and now according to my phone weather mate Pro and a number of other apps are not installed irrespective to the fact they are installed on the watch..... In fact I can’t now install ANY App on the watch????

Definitely weird. I assume that you rebooted the watch and the iPhone? Last resort may be to unpair and repair the watch and iPhone.

Yes, did all that and nothing worked.
The only way I can install an App is to use the Watches App Store. Although this method does indeed get rid of the App no longer showing not installed on the iPhone, I do though have a continuing issue in I have to insert my Apple Password for every App the Watch installs..... which is very tedious on the Watch.

Bump - Have to say quite a fan of Hello Weather and its free implementation on my AW6 - does pretty much everything I want and not intrusive asking about paid upgrades.
