Any ideas how weather ties into VPN use on the iPhone?

I am running a VPN on my iPhone and cannot get the Apple Watch Weather to update. The various complications and weather locations stay blank.

Resetting Various Location Settings on my iPhone briefly fixes it but then the weather goes back to being blank. Disabling the VPN immediately resolves the issue. It seems like if I could always allow the location on the Weather App this would be fixed. Also it does not seem possible to always allow locations on Apple Faces either.

Weather works fine on my iPhone but not on the Apple Watch when the iPhone's VPN is on.

I went to General -> Settings -> Reset Location and Privacy Data and it seems temporarily resolved. Also walking out of range of the iPhone and using cellular the watch resolves it.

I suspect it has something do with GPS and location security as well.

Yep just tried Warp 1.1.1.1 and it worked great. Must be my VPN Vendor.

No it's not NordVPN. Its called Accountable2you and is similar to Covenant Eyes or Qustodio.

So the traffic is being logged and sent to Accountability Partners. Interestingly enough Covenenat Eys works just fine with Apple Watch. However Covenant Eyes blocks me from making phone calls on my my Mac to my iPhone.

I also tested the Apple Watch Weather functionality with ProtonVPN and it works fine.

I reported the issue to Accountable2you Development so hopefully they will work on the issue.
