Hi
@kavuky! I was wondering the same thing.
Usually I use my iPhone with
Location Services turned off. I only have them set to
On when I do a workout, or when using Maps app, which does not happen very often.
Looking at watchOS complications implementation, in there you can set a
Default Location which will be then used on all complications, not requiring persistent location search. This
Default Location can be also changed from inside the iPhone
Weather app. The location that sit on the top of the list, usually, is treated as the
Default one.
Also, iOS Weather widgets have the option to manually select the location.
It seems to me that the Lock Screen widgets are just coupled together with
Location Services, at least at this point in time. I have some hope still, that with future updates, maybe they will also follow the watchOS weather approach. Fingers crossed. 🤞
