Now I feel really bad for the people who paid $5 for this App.

Guess they didn't want to be undercut by The Weather Channel... thanks I will download this one as well cause I want to compare them. I use WC on my iPod touch.

Not a big deal at all. The support over at Apple is top notch. you would get a refund.

Does the Weatherbug App feature moving radar maps? That is what I liked most about the Weather Channel App.

WeatherBug is my absolute favorite weather app for the iPhone! On the iPhone they have two versions, regular version for free and Elite version for 99 cents. In the description for WeatherBug Elite for the iPhone, it states that it is 100% ad free (the free one has ads).

Now, since the WeatherBug Elite for the iPad was originally $5, I assume that it won't have ads. They are probably just giving it away for free to boost their download count and get reviews. HOWEVER... nowhere in the description for WeatherBug Elite for the iPad does it say that it is ad free.

Free is free and the ads won't bother me. But I am confused why the Elite version for the iPad doesn't state that it is ad free.

Sweet! And I just noticed that the Weather Channel App is sponsored by Toyota..."For those times you just can't stop to check the weather"

You should be a writer for Leno. Combine current topic with recent news headline, and you have "comedy".

I was debating if I wanted to download this last night, glad I didn't. Thanks!

I know its not technical and completely detailed....but it gives me the basic info I need and the weeks forecast much like the basic iPhone Weather app did....

Weather HD.

I wasn't going to get it as I thought it was just weather images....but when I found out they animated I was sold. Its definitely a great "oohh ahhh" app to show off for 99 cents.

This is for a limited time, not forever. Get it now before they put the price back. OP can you change the title? It's misleading.

They will charge for an update. I can see a lot of free apps becoming paid once developers get their hands on the ipad. but you are dumb for buying apps before you even get your ipad:D

Can one download it on the iPad tomorrow for free?

I won't have access to itunes on my laptop for awhile as my laptop needs to be fixed..

Ouch!

Wow, that was quick. I saw it yesterday and I thought it was a nice weather app but I didnt want to pay the high price so I passed. Im glad I did too because now I got it for free! I hope not too many people purchased it. Thanks for the heads up.

Eh? They can't charge for updates, that functionality doesn't exist yet (it will in the future, though...) And why would anyone be dumb for buying apps before getting an iPad? There are a bunch of games and apps I know I definitely want, might as well download them all now rather than have to wait to search them out, buy them, and then download them after getting my iPad before I can use them. Heck, I got one iPad game that was only free yesterday! Got it for free *because* I got it before release.

Fools, not dumb. Free applications can't become paid via an update, that's one of the rules set by Apple. The developers have to either add an app-in purchase or release a different version.

True. Free apps dont become paid unless they were already paid. And Apple did go back on their decision to make free apps stay free. They eventually changed it so that in-app purchases can also be made within free apps. Which I think sucks but does make things easier so developers dont have to make "lite" versions of their apps.

Anyway...better snag this one up before they change the price again
