Call me old-fashioned (and I'm only 18!), but I just can't stand web apps of any kind. Anything that replaces desktop software, I just don't like. I'll take Mail.app over MobileMe or Gmail any day. I'll take iCal over the above solutions, too.

I use Google Reader because I don't know any good Windows or Mac RSS readers (I use both, mainly Windows).

What do you guys like about web apps/traditional software, and what traditional software do you use despite there being a web app for the same purpose?

I love gmail. I can check it anywhere very quickly. I don't use any of their other programs though (docs, calender, etc, thats what my iphone is for).

I don't have a use for any of the email apps. Thunderbird, Zimbra, Entourage, Mail. I've used them all. I hated Zimbra the most. Nobody could view attached pictures I would send via Mail at work.
