Maybe I'm missing something. Your phone is unlocked AND its in for repair? Also, do your really mean "web apps"? As Drumjim mentioned, web apps are just web pages. Unlocking your phone would immediately knock out your carrier linked services like YouTube and Visual Voicemail, but these can apparently be fixed.
