Web Design Layout Critique Appreciated

Nice design. I agree with the post above -- the review process brought the best design to the fore.

One comment. I wonder what value "Recent Closings" has on the homepage. It's almost like teasing somebody -- Ha! Ha! Look what you can't have!

I wonder if "Current Offerings" or something to that effect (e.g., "New Listings") might have more value. It may be interesting to include "Recent Closings" so people can have a full sense of the properties you manage, but I see that as a sidebar item vs. a major portion of the homepage.

i think this is meant to present the current 'portfolio'. it builds an image of the kind of clients they attract.

although... it is a little evil to tease.

hint: try posting in the message not the title.

i would think he is working with layers in his favorite image editor/layout tool. but yeah, if it only exists in .jpeg format... it might take a bit to rebuild.

ooo very nice, one thing, and the only thing i think the white border is to large, but that is just me. nice work.

Cool. It makes a change to see a corporate site for a "small" business with some good design and original ideas. I really like the white border myself - that way you get to splash that blue all over the page without drowning out the central layout. Nice move away from the layered menus too - getting tired of the javascript-menu-look layouts. Clean, classy and navigable: I like it.
BTW - I really like the skyscraper image in the header of the colours.jpg layout. Reminded me of the end of Fight Club.
