I always use Private Browsing when using Safari

The other day I was using spotlight to search for a powerpoint file and came across a few Safari history item. I know that you can uncheck the boxes in spotlight preferences so they wont appear but...

I always thought that Private Browsing meant nothing was left behind history, cache and anything internet related etc. Though I understand that Private Browsing option does not prevent Safari from collecting cookies and preference files.

I investigated further and somebody suggested

"browse to <home> /Library/Caches/Metadata/Safari/History
Drag and drop “History” folder from Finder to Privacy pane"

Is this the thing to do for this kind of issue? So that nothing will show

I had browsed a lot of pages but there were only a few web history items where actually there, which I found odd.

Thanks in advance
