I think you want to use an application to call someone on a telephone, and speak to them through the application.
Since Mac modems no longer have voice capabilities, I'm affraid you're out of luck for a simple solution. It will probably cost some money for the correct stuff.
Have you tried searching versiontracker.com? Try searching for Telephony.

Webphone software for mac

If somebody is still interested, here is a new webphone software for mac: browser phone. This is actually a java applet that works from the browsers.
Here is a free version that can be used for anybody for occasional voip calls:
public webphone. You can use it with any service provider.
I hope that my post will be useful for members interested in voip clients.
