It takes 4 to 5x longer for a web site to load fully on my Mac Pro (2.66GHz w/ 1GB Ram) vs my 4-year old Dell using a Qwest DSL ethernet connection that runs through a Linksys WRT54G router. I am running Leopard 10.5.2.
I have run a cable directly from the DSL Modem to the Mac Pro with the same results.
I have run dscacheutil -flushcache in terminal.
I have used both ethernet ports on the Mac Pro with the same results.
Using the latest versions of Safari and Firefox I get the same results.
On another hard drive on the Mac Pro running Leopard 10.5.2 I get the same delay in getting web sites to load.
Any suggestions on getting web sites to load quicker would be appreciated.
