Webcam help and more..

I would like recommendations how to use a webcam/ w/e to record video straight to my mac for unlimited recording time, depeding on hd size or course.

I would like recommendations on what webcam to get and what software i can you to save all the videos files, hopefully right as the are seen by the webcam.
I would prefer a firewire based webcam.

please anyone/everyone put any 2 cents you have tohelp me out.

I don't know an awful lot about recording with them, but a great everyday webcam (albeit not the prettiest) is the iMage webcam. I guess it just depends how high a quality you want it to be?
