Just got a 2018 Mini on close out sale after many years with the 2012. With everything going on I now need to work from desk setup and videoconference.

What webcam/mic setup are folks using with their Mac Mini? Any good recommendations?

I would likely buy the least expensive recently-released Logitech model. It will likely be supported longer than other brands.

It is unlikely you need a high-resolution model for work-and-home usage. High-res video will just chew up more of your home network's bandwidth.

That's the way I would look at it.

Expense it back to your employer. They should appreciate the fact that you did not pick the most expensive model with a bunch of unnecessary bells and whistles.

I've got fiber connection to home so bandwith for video is not really an issue, but I can always regulate resolution if needed.

Well then go whole hog and buy the most expensive one that Logitech sells despite the fact that you have failed to present an actual usage case that would favor a higher resolution webcam.

You don't appear to care about the practicality of a lower resolution device and so far price doesn't appear to be an issue for you either.

I didnt say price of device isnt an issue. But bandwith sure isn't, no.

So main question is what are good value high resolution webcams with mic?
